Krisanakarn Company Limited was established in 1992 with a registered capital of 40 million baht. The Krisanakarn Brick Factory manufactures big four-hole KK red bricks, which are quick to lay, inexpensive, and standardized according to TIS 153-2540. Its goal is to develop the domestic production of red bricks to the industrialized level, comparable to various industrialized countries. However, it realized that the traditional production of red bricks, having agricultural characteristics, could not support the rapid expansion of the development of the construction industry.

The disadvantage of the traditional production of red bricks is that there is often a short supply of red bricks during the rainy season because it is unable to expose these bricks to sunlight. Also, the size of red bricks tends to be made smaller and smaller because the only way to increase production capacity is to decrease the size of red bricks so as to decrease the amount of time spent in sunlight exposure.

On the contrary, the industrial production of red bricks does not depend on weather conditions or climate at all. Moreover, the dimension of red bricks can be expanded to be larger than the old ones, thus increasing workload and considerably decreasing the amount of cement and sand, as well as the reduction in other costs such as transportation, breakage and damage, etc., which are indirect costs almost impossible to avoid.

The Krisanakarn Company Limited introduced the advanced technology of red bricks production from abroad by using machinery in the whole production process with a total horsepower of 1,000 or over, having a brick drying rack with a shady location, having a dehumidification oven, and having a tunnel furnace with a length of over 120 meters that uses charcoal as fuel.
